Table Tennis Ireland (TTI), the National Governing Body for table tennis on the island of Ireland, is currently seeking to appoint a number of new volunteer Directors to its Board.
Following the appointment of our first CEO in 2024, the establishment of a professional executive team, and the implementation of an ambitious six‑year strategic plan, TTI is entering an exciting phase of growth and organisational development. Strengthening our Board is a key part of that journey.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in:
- Finance / Financial Management
- Marketing, Commercial or Sponsorship
- Governance and Risk Management
- HR / People Development
Previous involvement in table tennis is not required. We are keen to hear from individuals who bring strong professional expertise, sound judgement, and a commitment to good governance in sport. Board roles are voluntary, with a manageable time commitment and reasonable expenses reimbursed.

Role Overview
Fencing Ireland is seeking a proactive and energetic Development Officer to deliver schools programmes and support the growth of fencing at community level, particularly within DEIS areas.
Reporting to the Head of Development, this is a hands-on role focused on introducing fencing to new participants, building relationships, and creating pathways from schools into clubs, while ensuring high-quality programme delivery that supports ongoing engagement and retention.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone with the right personality, energy, and initiative to grow fencing on the ground.
You do not need to be an elite fencer or highly experienced coach. Training and support will be provided. What matters most is your ability to connect with people, build relationships, and turn opportunities into active programmes.
Key Responsibilities
Schools Programme Delivery
• Deliver fencing sessions in DEIS schools as part of a funded development programme
• Lead Transition Year (TY) programmes, introducing students to fencing in an engaging and structured way
• Deliver primary school programmes over multi-week blocks
• Ensure an engaging experience for schools to support long-term partnerships
Community & Club Development
• Work with local stakeholders (schools, community groups, sports partnerships) to develop fencing clubs in local communities close to the schools
• Support the establishment of new fencing clubs in target areas
• Deliver evening sessions (approx. 2–3 per week) to support club activity
• Create pathways from school programmes into clubs, supporting long-term growth
Equipment & Operations
• Transport fencing equipment to schools and venues (vehicle provided)
• Support organisation and maintenance of equipment
• Ensure safe setup and use of equipment
Events & Federation Support
• Support the delivery of Fencing Ireland competitions and events (approx. 5–6 weekends per year)
• Assist with event setup and breakdown
• Act as a representative of Fencing Ireland
Working Hours
• Full-time, 1 Year Contract with potential to renew
• Busier during the 9-month fencing season, with more flexibility during quieter periods
• Includes evening and weekend work
• This is not a standard 9–5 role and requires flexibility

Position Overview
This position combines the responsibilities of an Office Receptionist with those of a Registrations Assistant. In addition, one day a week will be spent on Garda Vetting for our Juvenile Club Network.
The role provides essential administrative support to the in-situ staff at the head office of Athletics Ireland, in Northwood, Santry, the remote staff team, the general membership, and the public. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for visitors and callers, while also facilitating efficient and accurate daily management of athlete and club registrations. The role requires excellent interpersonal skills, strong organisational abilities, and a strong attention to detail. Confidentiality is critical for Garda Vetting. In this role you act as a gatekeeper of sensitive information, and discretion is a core part of the job.
Main Responsibilities
Reception Duties:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for visitors, members, and stakeholders at Athletics Ireland headquarters, Northwood, Santry.
• Manage incoming telephone calls, direct enquiries and deliveries to appropriate staff.
• Take messages as required and ensure they are passed on to the relevant parties as required.
• Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including post, email, and courier deliveries.
• Maintain the reception area to ensure it is always welcoming and presentable.
• Coordinate meeting room bookings and support set-up for meetings and events.
• Ensure the kitchen supplies are well stocked
• Sourcing and ordering office stationery as required
Registrations Assistant Duties:
• Process athlete, club, and event queries in accordance with Athletics Ireland protocols.
• Update and maintain accurate membership records using the organisation’s database systems.
• Assist with the maintenance of up-to-date FAQs for clubs and members.
• Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures for the department as required.
• Liaise with the second level support of the Registrations strategic partner that provides the membership database to ensure that any systemic issues are resolved and updated in a timely fashion.
• Respond to registration queries via phone and email, providing clear and helpful information.
General Administrative Support:
• Provide support to staff and volunteers when they work in or visit the office at Northwood.
• Assist Office Manager ordering supplies, data entry, report generation, and the compilation of statistics as required.
• Contribute to the smooth running of the office by undertaking other duties as assigned by management.
Garda Vetting Role:
• Adhere to SLA for opening and processing Garda Vetting Applications
• Forms are reviewed in line with Garda National Vetting Bureau requirements & full training will be provided
• Validated applications are submitted to the Garda Vetting Portal and recorded in the organisation’s internal tracking system
• Incomplete or in accurate forms will be returned to the sender by post
Personal Specification
• Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Familiarity with membership databases or CRM systems desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Remuneration and Location

Golf Ireland are now seeking a suitable candidate for the role of Project Coordinator (Ulster Region). Principal Responsibilities of this role include:
- Assisting the Regional Manager to co-ordinate relevant activities including preparation and delivery of championships & inter-club competitions.
- Point of contact for the Volunteer Information Portal in Ulster.
- Assist the existing team with the delivery of participation, golf development and club support initiatives including golf in the community sessions and golf sixes
- To establish positive relationships with volunteers in the Regional Executive Committee and its Sub Committees.
- Preparation of meetings and materials of the subcommittees and REC.
- Co-ordinating REC and subcommittee activity.
- Assist with the management and communications of the volunteer roster.
- Ensure volunteers are up to date with safeguarding.
- Preparation and delivery of school’s golf competitions
- Assisting in the delivery of events regionally and nationally, particularly those targeted at female golfers and players with disability.
- Delivery of programmes aimed at introduction of the sport to Primary & Secondary School pupils.
- Collecting all cups/trophies for upcoming year and organising engraving.

About the Olympic Handball Ireland
Olympic Handball Ireland (‘OHI’) is the National Governing Body for handball over the 32 counties of Ireland. Olympic Handball Ireland is responsible for the grassroots development of the sport, as well as national league and cup competitions. It is responsible for the development of national teams at all age groups, as well as developing coaches and referees and works in conjunction with multiple stakeholders Sport Ireland, Sport Northern Ireland, Olympic Federation of Ireland, Federation of Irish Sport, European Handball Federation, International Handball Federation.
Olympic Handball Ireland periodically reviews the skills and experience specifications desired to ensure its Board of Directors best fulfils its remit to oversee a successful commercial organisation, promoting exemplary corporate governance and transparency whilst continuing to develop as an effective and representative governing body fully equipped to lead, develop and govern the sport.
The Board
The Board is responsible for the governance of the sport, ensuring the delivery of our Mission, Core Values and Strategy. We are seeking to further strengthen the skill set and gender balance within the Board. As a director, you will have input into the delivery of our strategy and will contribute with insight and experience at meetings. All Directors are non-executive and act in a voluntary capacity. The Board is supported by a team of staff lead by the CEO, who look after the executive functions of the organisation.
We encourage applications from members within the Olympic Handball community and others to become independent directors looking to further enhance their board experience. We also strongly encourage female leaders to apply as we are required to have a gender balance of at least 40% on the board.
What we need from you
We are looking to bring in a director with suitable experience such as a formal accountancy degree to support the continued development of Olympic Handball Ireland. This is a volunteer (unpaid) role to assist in the application of governance by the board and the organisation.
Ideal candidates will preferably have some of the following skills sets:
- A deep appreciation and knowledge of the Not-For-Profit sector.
- Initial experience in financial oversight, audit, budgeting, and risk management
- Bachelor in Finance, business, accounting (preferably with a CPA/ACA/ACCA certification)
- Familiarity with grant funding, financial controls, and public
- An understanding of, and commitment to our mission and values.
- Abide with the corporate governance Code of Conduct.
- Knowledge of Olympic handball is desirable but not essential

Time Commitment
The Board meets eight to ten times per year. These meetings now take place over Zoom/Teams late afternoon / early evening. When the Board meets face to-face, the normal venue will be the Olympic Handball Ireland offices in Blanchardstown, Dublin 15. Co-opted Directors are co-opted until the next Annual General Meeting where they will be elected by the members for a three-year term.
Flexibility is required to attend Committee meetings (this may include chairing a committee) when scheduled (approx. 4 times per year). Attendance at other key meetings and events, including participating in ad-hoc meetings subject to availability. Outside of Board meetings, the time commitment required would be 4-6 hours per month.
