It is with great sadness that we remember Ciara Mageean, the champion athlete from Portaferry, who passed away this morning.
Ciara Mageean’s life was vibrant and full of colour; gold, silver and bronze. Just three moths ago this essence was perfectly captured at the ‘Run with Ciara’, at the Morton Stadium in Santry.
Ciara continued to inspire those around her with her bravery, determination and humility.
We extend our sincerest sympathies to her husband, Thomas, her family and her many friends.
May She Rest in Peace.
