Louise joined Basketball Ireland in 2010 and was appointed Chief Operating Officer in 2015. She has overseen the delivery of a number of international events, including the 2016 FIBA Europe Congress, 2017 FIBA U18 Women’s EuroBasket, 2018 FIBA Women’s European Championship for Small Countries and 2021 FIBA European Championship for Small Countries. She also leads operations for Basketball Ireland’s premier domestic competitions, including the National Cup Finals and Super League Finals.

A strong advocate for Women in Sport at all levels, Louise serves as Basketball Ireland’s Women in Sport Lead and was instrumental in the implementation of the organisation’s innovative SOCIA-Ball programme. The initiative won ‘Best Initiative to Promote Women in Sport & Physical Activity’ at the 2025 Irish Sport Industry Awards. Louise completed the IPA Professional Certificate in Governance in 2020 and was among the first graduates of FIBA WiLEAD in 2021. She has previously served on the Board of Special Olympics Ireland, where she also held the role of Chair of the Leinster Region. Louise currently serves on the Fingal Sports Network Committee, supporting the development of sport and physical activity across the region.
