An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Golf Ireland in the role of Partnerships & Marketing Manager (Maternity Cover) supporting the extensive work of the Commercial & Marketing department. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in creating and implementing marketing plans to support the promotion of new and existing Golf Ireland initiatives and activities.

About the Role:

Principal Responsibilities

Reporting to the Commercial & Marketing Director and working alongside other Department Directors across the organisation.

  • Manage the planning, delivery and evaluation of marketing and stakeholder events, including the Women in Sport Scramble and other key events as directed by the Commercial & Marketing Director.
  • Lead the growth, positioning and promotion of the Golf Ireland Volunteer of the Year Awards, enhancing engagement, visibility and stakeholder participation.
  • Design, develop and implement Golf Ireland experiential activities at major events across the island including, but not limited to, the Men’s and Women’s Irish Opens.
  • Act as a custodian of the Golf Ireland brand, ensuring brand consistency and quality across all marketing collateral, uniforms, digital platforms, promotional materials and club resources.
  • Lead the briefing, coordination and traffic management of all marketing design and print projects across the organisation, ensuring effective prioritisation of internal and external resources.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with Golf Ireland’s corporate and community partners, developing and implementing annual activation and leverage plans to maximise partnership value and fulfil contractual commitments.
  • Support the Commercial & Marketing Director in identifying and developing new commercial opportunities through market research, lead generation, prospecting and proposal development.
  • Support colleagues across all departments in the effective and consistent use of Golf Ireland brand assets and marketing materials.

 

Relationship Management

  • Work collaboratively as part of the Marketing, Communications & Commercial team, supporting colleagues across the team and wider organisation as required.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with third-party suppliers, including designers, production agencies, event partners and service providers.
  • Build positive and collaborative relationships with Golf Ireland corporate and community partners, ensuring high levels of service and engagement.

Experience & Knowledge:

Essential

  • A third level qualification in Marketing, Communications or a related area.
  • 3- 5 years’ experience in a similar managerial role.
  • Experience developing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating Marketing strategies and plans.
  • An ability to adhere to strict deadlines.
  • An ability to prioritise and delegate.

 

Desirable

  • Experience managing relationships with strategic partners
  • Strong relationship management skills and the ability to work with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
  • A deep and broad understanding of the golfing landscape within Ireland.
  • Experience working within the golf industry.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Strong Communication skills.

Terms And Conditions:

This is fixed term contract, reporting to Golf Ireland’s Commercial & Marketing Director.
