About Gymnastics Ireland
Gymnastics Ireland is the National Governing Body for the sport in Ireland, recognised by Sport Ireland. GI is a dynamic, forward-thinking organisation, now one of the largest participation sports in Ireland and having come off the back of Ireland’s historic first ever Olympic gold medal in gymnastics at the Paris 2024 Games. Our Education team runs the coach and judge qualification pathway, aligned to Sport Ireland’s CDPI framework and delivered through the LearnUpon LMS.
About the role
- Engagement: Contract for Services (self-employed)
- Reporting to: Education Manager, Gymnastics Ireland
- Location: Remote (Ireland or UK based)
- Duration: 12 months, project-by-project under this framework. Non-exclusive, no minimum guaranteed volume.

The Work
We are seeking a freelance eLearning developer to design and build digital learning content supporting our coach and judge qualification pathway across a series of projects over a 12 month period. You will work directly with the Education Manager and subject-matter experts to translate technical sport content into accessible, engaging, SCORM-compliant modules for deployment on LearnUpon.
Essential
- Proven track record building published e-learning in Articulate Rise 360 and Storyline 360
- Strong instructional design fundamentals (learning outcomes, chunking, formative assessment)
- SCORM packaging and LMS deployment experience
Desirable
- LearnUpon experience
- Background in sport, coaching or vocational qualification design
- Video editing / motion graphics capability
Working Arrangements
Self-employed Contract for Services. Remote working available. Each project commissioned via Statement of Work with agreed milestones and contract fee.
