Cycling Ireland is the National Governing Body for the sport of Cycling in Ireland with approximately 15,000 members in over 300 clubs around the country. Job Title:                                 Sports Administration Supervisor

Responsible to:                      Operations Manager

Contract Duration:                Permanent Position

Responsible for:                     Front Office Supervision

Hours of work:                       39 hours per week

Salary:                                     circa €30,000 depending on experience

Location:                                Dublin

Duties will include:

  • Adherence to Cycling Ireland policies and procedures and rules as set out in the Employee Handbook
  • Efficient management of all office correspondence (paper and electronic)
  • Proactively dealing with all member’s queries by phone and email  in a timely manner
  • Manage and proactively developing our internal Management systems.
  • Manage  member’s registration and annual licenses  renewal  process
  • Manage the compilation of the annual Yearbook and event calendar.
  • Maintain and develop our website, other social media channels and newsletters
  • Assist the Operations Manager in accounting activities such as receivables/payables.
  • Overseeing various subsystems such as Race reporting and insurance administration.
  • Support Management in the various initiatives undertaken.
  • Any other ad hoc duties which may emerge on an on-going basis.

This position will require an amount of weekend availability

 

Person specification:

  ESSENTIAL DESIRABLE
 Qualification & Attainments   Third level qualification preferable in Administration/communicationsComputer literate and competent in the use of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel. 

Fluent in the English Language

 

Profession qualificationFormal IT training. 

Experience of Content Management Systems

 

Additional European Language

  Relevant Experience At least 3 years experience in a similar roleExperience in managing a website or database system. 

Knowledge of Cycling in Ireland

 

Exposure to a web based database and its reporting capabilities

5 years experience in a similar roleExperience of working with volunteers. 

Be an existing Cycling Ireland member, with experience at organising events or managing club duties.

 

 

 Special Aptitudes Excellent literary and communication skills with the ability to produce clear, concise reports.Proven record of working to a deadline.

 

Ability to multi task in a very busy office environment

 

Excellent organisational skills.

Previous experience in a logistical role 

Excellent  planning ability

 General Aptitudes Must be able to act on personal initiative and take decisions within policy. Should have excellent customer liaising skills
 Disposition Good Interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.Ability to be self-motivated, resourceful, work on own initiative in a flexible and co-operative manner. Proven record of working in a client service role. 
 Circumstances Ability to work out of normal office hours.Be prepared to undertake training in any relevant job related area. 

Full clean driving license.
