We are currently hiring for members of our Servicing Officer Panel
Key Purpose of the Role: The Servicing Officer is responsible for providing comprehensive support in the administration, coordination, and communication of the Camogie Association’s fixtures, competitions, programmes, activities and events. This role ensures the effective organisation and governance across all levels of the association’s activities, contributing to the smooth operation of Camogie competitions, projects and events. There may be a variety of servicing officer roles available.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Roles and responsibilities may vary depending on the specific servicing officer role being appointed. They may include the following:
- Affiliation and Registration:
- Ensure that all units (clubs, schools, institutions, etc.) are properly affiliated and registered in accordance with the Camogie Association’s guidelines and bylaws.
- Provide assistance in the registration process of players, coaches, referees and units on the relevant membership management platforms (e.g., Foireann).
- Competition and Event Coordination:
- Assist in the planning, scheduling, and coordination of Camogie competitions, which may include league, championship, and special events.
- Coordinate the appointment of match officials, the sourcing and allocation of suitable venues for fixtures.
- Monitor the progress of competitions, report results, and ensure the timely publication of fixtures, results, and standings.
- Event Management:
- Support the organisation and running of finals, blitz events, development initiatives and other events, including planning, liaising with host venues and managing event logistics.
- Compile and manage match programme information, ensuring accurate and timely dissemination of event details.
- Communication and Liaison:
- Serve as a central point of contact for units involved in Camogie activities, managing enquiries and providing information and support as needed.
- Facilitate effective communication between participating members, units, committees, and the Camogie Association.
- Assist in the Association’s media and communications activities related to programmes, initiatives, competitions and events.
- Administrative Support:
- Manage administrative tasks such as planning, procurement related activities, collating referee reports, processing expenses, maintaining records of events, fixtures and results and preparation of report.
- Maintain the comprehensive contacts database for all affiliated units.
- Assist in the coordination and support of training and upskilling events for coaches, officials, and other stakeholders.
Key Skills Required:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in administrative, including sports fixturing, event management, and similar roles.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and virtual meeting platforms.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently.
- Team-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Good understanding of the Camogie Association’s structure, rules, and competition formats.
- Experience in preparing reports and maintaining accurate records.
Terms and Conditions:
- Hours of Work: Flexible as approved by the line manager.
- Location: Flexible; must have access to a reliable broadband connection and suitable workspace.
- Remuneration: €14.80 per hour. Contracted hours will vary per role. (Approximately 80-200 hours depending on the specific role). All remunerations are subject to revenue guidelines
- Transport: Full clean driving license and access to personal transport with appropriate insurance coverage required.
- Equipment: A work laptop and phone will be provided. Mileage and other expenses will be reimbursed as per the Association’s policies.
- Panel: Candidates successful at the final stage of the process will be placed on a ‘panel’, Candidates will be taken from this list and offered a job or ‘appointment’, as vacancies become available.
