Pentathlon Ireland General Manager
Pentathlon Ireland is seeking to recruit a General Manager (GM), initially on a 20 hour per week basis. An exciting opportunity for a self-starter who wants to build Ireland’s newest Olympic sport, and lead in the promotion, development, performance, administration and financial management of the sport of Modern Pentathlon in Ireland.
The GM will implement the organisation’s strategic plan, will manage the recruitment and retention of staff and volunteers in line and will lead across all areas of marketing, commercial, PR. The successful individual will have the gravitas to interface with the Sports Council, OCI, as well as other governing bodies, while also working closely with the high-performance manager, and with athletes and their support, as well as volunteers and interns. The GM will lead the integration into the new training facility, while reporting into the Board, and setting up all new office systems and processes. The GM will manage the core budget of the organization and establish a fundraising and grants programme to support the organization.
We are looking for a results-oriented team-player, who is confident in their own judgment when working alone, and has the drive and charisma to influence others. Ideally with 5 years sports management experience, they will have strong communication and presentation skills.
