Reports to: Financial Controller

Position Overview:

Permanent part-time position with responsibility for the day-to-day running of Cricket Ireland financial matters, and for supporting the Financial Controller in the efficient preparation and presentation of accurate financial information.


Key Responsibilities

  •  Prepare financial accounts in a timely manner
  •  Oversee, review and complete all balance sheet reconciliations
  •  Analyse accounting data, research accounting entries and perform corrections as necessary
  •  Post-event/match financial reconciliation
  •  Preparations and distribution of monthly departmental reports
  •  Assist in budget preparation
  •  Day-to-day management of finances
  •  Manage payment run
  •  Compliance with internal financial protocols
  •  Process payroll
  •  Any other duties as appropriate


Skills and Experience

  •  Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting technician role or higher essential
  •  Hands-on experience in small-medium sized organisation desirable
  •  Possess excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail
  •  Have proven strong organisational skills, the ability to prioritise and to work on your own initiative    to deadlines
  •  Demonstrable working knowledge of modern Microsoft IT and software packages including SAGE,  Office, Word, Excel and  Powerpoint
  •  Experience in dealing with community and voluntary organisations desirable
  •  Knowledge of sport essential; cricket knowledge desirable but not essential


Position tenure: Permanent and part-time, 4 days per week

Position location: Dublin, north-side

Remuneration: €34,375 per annum pro rata

Annual leave: 20 days per annum
