Reports to: Financial Controller
Position Overview:
Permanent part-time position with responsibility for the day-to-day running of Cricket Ireland financial matters, and for supporting the Financial Controller in the efficient preparation and presentation of accurate financial information.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare financial accounts in a timely manner
- Oversee, review and complete all balance sheet reconciliations
- Analyse accounting data, research accounting entries and perform corrections as necessary
- Post-event/match financial reconciliation
- Preparations and distribution of monthly departmental reports
- Assist in budget preparation
- Day-to-day management of finances
- Manage payment run
- Compliance with internal financial protocols
- Process payroll
- Any other duties as appropriate
Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting technician role or higher essential
- Hands-on experience in small-medium sized organisation desirable
- Possess excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail
- Have proven strong organisational skills, the ability to prioritise and to work on your own initiative to deadlines
- Demonstrable working knowledge of modern Microsoft IT and software packages including SAGE, Office, Word, Excel and Powerpoint
- Experience in dealing with community and voluntary organisations desirable
- Knowledge of sport essential; cricket knowledge desirable but not essential
Position tenure: Permanent and part-time, 4 days per week
Position location: Dublin, north-side
Remuneration: €34,375 per annum pro rata
Annual leave: 20 days per annum
