In May, we celebrated the 2023 Irish Sport Industry Awards, in association with our sponsors Financial Broker. Up to 200 guests gathered in the prestigious Banking Hall of the Westin Hotel, in anticipation of the award winners being revealed across 11 different categories. With a record number of entries submitted this year, there was a very high standard set and the nominations were hotly contested.

The depth and variety of the initiatives by those shortlisted represent some of the many exciting collaborations and innovations happening in Sport. In hosting these awards, we are privileged to showcase the diverse work being done across the sporting landscape in Ireland and connect those working in the Sport sector.

This was the 6th annual hosting of the awards, which has firmly established it’s position on the social sporting calendar as an important networking opportunity for those in the business of sport. This unique gathering brings together NGB CEO’s, Commercial Partners, Sponsorship Directors, High Potential Start-Ups, LSP Coordinators, PR & Agency Executives, Media and Government representatives.

Sport Ireland research* has shown that the sport economy has grown faster than the economy as a whole over the last 10 years. At the Federation we look forward to continuing to represent our member National Governing Bodies and Local Sports Partnerships to highlight why #SportMatters to Irish society and the economy as a whole. In the coming months we will once again be making our annual Pre-Budget Submission to Government to ensure the collective Voice of Irish Sport continues to be represented.
