Swim Ireland hosted the 2020 McCullagh International at the Bangor Aurora Leisure Centre in Co. Down last month. The event attracted huge interest from within Ireland and abroad, with Olympic Medalists and World Record holders relishing the chance to swim in the format that mirrored the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games (evening heats and morning finals). Swim Ireland were delighted to welcome 623 Swimmers from 84 Clubs as well as coaches, team managers and parents to the venue across four days of competition.

“Prior to the event it was decided to charge entrance through a ticketing system for the first time. We contacted Future Ticketing who were extremely helpful in getting us set up and ready to go as soon as possible. The site was easy to use, we had training in how to operate it and a list of videos are made available to guide you also. The ticketing system was extremely successful at the event with the set up all in place to scan spectators through on the day.” Trish Mayon, Swim Ireland.

Swim Ireland have already set up further events including their Irish Open Championships and #WePlay Conference on the system and look forward to working with Future Ticketing over the next few years.
