Arbitration and Mediation- Just Sport Ireland

Just Sport Ireland was established by the Federation of Irish Sport in 2007, in response to the increasing prevalence of sporting litigation and the recognition, as endorsed by the High Court, that the courts are not the appropriate forum for the resolution of such disputes. From 2015 the Irish Sports Council will require all NGBs to have ADR within their rules as a condition of funding. Garda Vetting- Federation of Irish Sport Garda Vetting Facility

The Federation established a Garda Vetting service, for sports organisations that do not have access to Garda vetting in 2013. It is anticipated that new legislation will be commenced in 2015 requiring all organisations vet their coaches/volunteers that have with access to children or vulnerable adults.
