Paralympics Ireland: Performance Assistant
Paralympics Ireland is seeking to appoint a Performance Assistant to work within the Sport
Department.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with all areas of the Road to Rio
performance plan. This involves reporting to the Paralympic Performance Director, taking
responsibility for the coordination and management of Paralympics Ireland multi‐sport camps
and undertaking a range of tasks associated with athlete funding and planning, anti‐doping,
licensing and high performance planning in Paralympic sports.
Subject to performance and the availability of accreditation, the position holder will have the
opportunity to be a member of the Irish Paralympic HQ Team at the Rio 2016 Paralympic
Games.
The essential criteria for this post include:
Degree (ROI: Level 8) or equivalent in a sport or management related
discipline.
1 years full‐time (or part‐time equivalent) experience of working with
athletes in a performance environment to improve their performance
and competitive results.
1 years full‐time (or part‐time equivalent) experience of planning and
implementing programmes that aim to improve athlete performance.
1 years full‐time (or part‐time equivalent) experience of administration
including the development and implementation of procedures.
Organisational ability and competence in IT including email, word, excel
and powerpoint.
Salary: €37,000 per annum
Contract type: Full time fixed term contract until March 2017.
Base location: Dublin. Due to extensive travel involved, a clean current full driving
licence and own car is essential
