The job holder will be responsible for assisting with all areas of the Road to Rio performance plan and development of the Tokyo 2020 Quadrennial & Performance Plan. The position holder will report to the Paralympic Performance Director and will be responsible for logistics and operations for Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 (subject to contract extension), including the management of Paralympics Ireland multi-sport camps. The position involves working as a member of the Paralympics Ireland Sport Department.
Subject to performance the position holder will be required to manage the Rio 2016 Holding Camp in Uberlandia and provide direct operations and logistics support to the Chef de Mission at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.
The essential criteria for this post include:
- Degree (ROI: Level 8) or equivalent in a sport management related discipline.
- 1 years full-time (or part-time equivalent) experience of planning and implementing logistics and operational plans to strict deadlines.
- 1 years full-time (or part-time equivalent) experience of administration including the development and implementation of procedures.
- Organisational ability and competence in IT including email, word, excel and powerpoint.
Salary: €37,000 per annum
Contract type: 1 year fixed term full time.
Base location: Dublin. Due to extensive travel involved, a clean current full driving licence and own car is essential
