This is an opportunity for a highly motivated, driven individual to play a key role in a dynamic team, within a multi-sport environment, to use their skills to support elite athletes with a disability, to lead up to the Paralympic Games in Tokyo 2020 and beyond.


As Communications & Marketing Manager you will work as a senior member of the management team for Paralympics Ireland and be responsible for the development and implementation of a communications plan with a local, national and international reach, in the lead up to Tokyo 2020.

The role will involve leading all proactive and reactive communications and digital marketing. You will be able to evidence a strong track record of delivery and operational excellence and can deal with a complex media environment.

A key focus for 2017 and 2018 will be the communications elements for Dublin 2018 Para Swimming European Championships that Paralympics Ireland will host with its partners in August.

The role consists of three main areas of responsibility:
1. Communications Planning: Development and implementation of the communications and marketing strategy, in line with the overall organisation strategy.
2. Major Competitions: Managing communications for athletes competing at all major competitions including the Paralympic Games
3. Media Management: Lead and manage all regular media and marketing engagement to promote maximum coverage of Para sport in Ireland, Paralympics Ireland, its athletes and key officers.
